WHO I WORK WITH
I work with teenagers, adults, couples, and families facing a wide variety of challenges from anxiety, depression, and trauma to those who want more from their lives, careers, and relationships.
Anxiety
Some studies report that as many as 1 in 5 adults have symptoms of anxiety. Many more of us have times in our lives where we feel more anxious and could use support. In our work together, we can help you develop the tools to both understand where your anxiety comes and how to approach it.
Trauma/PTSD/CPTSD
Many of us have experienced trauma in our lives and may not know how to begin to process it or even how it may be showing up in our daily lives. In our work together, we can start to unpackage this and shift how it shows up.
Health Care Professionals
Having had a career in medicine for 20 years, I bring a unique understanding of the traumas and challenges that face health care providers and the burnout that can accompany them. It can be helpful and healing to talk through these issues with someone who understands them.
Depression
One in 10 Americans have experienced symptoms of depression. Yet when you are one of them you can feel incredibly alone and like nothing will ever change. The good news is that you don’t have to be alone and change is possible.
Major life transitions
Whether it is contemplating a new career, beginning or ending a relationship or becoming a parent, it can be incredibly supportive to have someone to walk on that journey with you. To be authentic to ourselves, these life transitions are sometimes necessary. But you don’t have to go through them alone.
Parenting
There is nothing quite like being a parent. It can feel very overwhelming and like you are starting from scratch with each new phase. It can also be hard to know how to navigate the particular challenges our children bring us or where to turn. Being a mother I know this intimately. Therapy can be supportive and creative in this phase of life.
